In season two, Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. In the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe – that the Covenant are preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation, or its extinction — the Halo.
This campaign took on bringing the massive world of Halo Season 2 to life. Working alongside the show and XBOX team we were given access to the amazing talent and sets in Budapest Hungary. Capturing assets for the 360 campaign across static and motion in a mix of built blue screen sets and full sets. The motion campaign captured three creative concepts that highlighted different key aspects of S2. Loadout worked to connect the world of the show with the canon of the Halo game series. This asset captured the team in a way reminiscent of the in-world game and a heroic pose of each Spartan, used in DOOH.
And this was just the beginning of a massive motion campaign that this internal team brought to life capturing the scope of the amazing world of Halo.
