The new season of School Spirits was announced at NYCC in October 2024. The team shot this tease which picks up from the shocking season one finale in Vancouver where the show is filmed. It ties in neatly with the great key art and the themes of the season: Maddie Nears (Peyon List) is still stuck in the afterlife, but now with the knowledge of what happened to her. She must unite her friends in the spectral and living worlds in order to reclaim her stolen life.

What better way to tease Dexter's origin story than to work with the iconic original title sequence, including the director of that sequence? The team worked with the show to tease the new talent, Miami in the early 90's and a serial killer who was still perfecting his craft. Introducing the new cast at SDCC including Michael C Hall as v/o, the piece was an extraordinary hit, gaining a lot of attention for the new iteration of this show.

The famous Paramount curtain raiser, created decades ago, has gone through multiple iterations before landing on the one currently used before every Paramount movie. We often leverage this for Paramount+ but were without the actual files themselves, which were created years ago with now obsolete software. We found ourselves having to find complicated and unnecessary workarounds.
So, we worked with the great agency BGSTR to painstakingly recreate the mountain, asking for them to match pixel by pixel the original work, and then provide 3D files that would allow us to change time of day, season and have any angle we wished on the mountain itself.
The work was perfect - shown here, the Paramount+ version.

In season two, Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. In the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe – that the Covenant are preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation, or its extinction — the Halo.
This campaign took on bringing the massive world of Halo Season 2 to life. Working alongside the show and XBOX team we were given access to the amazing talent and sets in Budapest Hungary. Capturing assets for the 360 campaign across static and motion in a mix of built blue screen sets and full sets. The motion campaign captured three creative concepts that highlighted different key aspects of S2 ClickClick that highlighted each member of the Spartan Team in a dynamic visual way and shot within a LED wall environment that created a reflected world on their armor, helmet and visor to be used in DOOH and social assets for the Spartans.
And this was just the beginning of a massive motion campaign that this internal team brought to life capturing the scope of the amazing world of Halo.

Fellow Travelers is an American historical romance political thriller television miniseries based on the 2007 novel of the same name by Thomas Mallon. Starring Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey, it centers on the decades-long romance between two men who first meet during the height of McCarthyism in the 1950s. The series premiered on October 29, 2023, on Showtime.
After a chance encounter in Washington, D.C., in the 1950s, Hawkins Fuller (Bomer) and Timothy Laughlin (Bailey) start a volatile romance that spans "the Vietnam War protests of the 1960s, the drug-fueled disco hedonism of the 1970s and the AIDS crisis of the 1980s, while facing obstacles in the world and in themselves".

The eight-episode UK series serves as a prequel to the 2000 crime thriller film “Sexy Beast.” It traces the relationship between best friends and thieves Gal Dove (James McArdle) and Don Logan (Emun Elliott), who together become involved in London’s criminal world during the 1990s. Gal begins a romance with the seductively alluring adult film star Deedee (Sarah Greene), which proves to be a dangerous endeavor. In the film, the role of Gal was formerly played by Ray Winstone, while the role of Don was played by Ben Kingsley. Deedee was played by Amanda Redman. Michael Caleo (“The Sopranos”) is executive producer, writer and showrunner.
The team brought the 90’s east London to life in this creative campaign. This spot brought the reality of their world to life pulling directly from the script using the profanity of their words. The Red Band trailer captured the vulgarity in a distinctive and stylized graphic way to catch the viewers attention.

One of the greatest spectacles in global sport in 2023 was Las Vegas’ inaugural F1 Grand Prix. With 110,000 viewers at the track and 200 million viewers watching on TV, the stakes were raised.
Paramount+ bet big on The Sphere, incredible new technology and the world’s biggest screen, sitting on one of the races’ most high-profile corners. With a global following itself, splashed all over social media, the mix of this screen and the F1 race was intoxicating.
The challenge was to work with this unique screen for the first time, part art-piece, part marketing opportunity and feature the brand, make it compelling and show off some of the mountain of entertainment that is featured on Paramount+.
Partnering with award-winning agency Nathaniel Howe Studios, the team hit the tables running, working with state of the art 360 mapping, testing the screen at the Sphere’s Burbank facility and learning the best way to make the most of F1’s camera angles.
Paramount+ was the first streaming service to show on this screen. The bet paid off, the Sphere showed off Paramount+’s great IP to a huge audience internationally, maximizing this marketing opportunity all the way to the checkered flag.

RABBIT HOLE, an espionage thriller starring Kiefer Sutherland, sets out to explore the complexities of truth for men and women who professionally dabble in its exploitation.
The campaign platform was simple.
YOU ARE BEING MANIPULATED
We wanted to dog whistle to the ways the modern world works: that deception, exploitation, and misdirection are used consistently for personal, political, and corporate gain, while calling back to classic thrillers like 3 Days of the Condor.
In partnership with Rhubarb, an award winning visual design agency, the Paramount+ team developed a global 360 campaign that brought RABBIT HOLE’s digital and real world manipulation to life.
The campaign featured a distinctive black and yellow color palette paired with evocative fonts,.
Shoot photography from Brian Bowen-Smith
And stunning motion visuals and CGI from Paramount+’s internal Creative Studio that leveraged glitches, dynamic code and visuals evoking surveillance.

For Season 2 of the acclaimed Star Trek show Strange New Worlds, the Paramount+ team literally went above and beyond, taking the circle motif from the marketing for season 1 to new heights.
Partnering with Nathaniel Howe Studios, and director Lindsay Daniels, the team used a motion control rig, and a 360 degree greenscreen to achieve a unique up and over move of SNW’s cast of characters. Nate Howe and team then created some incredible 3D worlds to place them in, achieving this dizzying journey through the Strange New Worlds of Season 2.

Picard S3 is the end of an era, the Star Trek Next Generation cast are reunited for one last journey into the final frontier and all the emotions that come with it are at the forefront.
To begin the creative, we partnered with director Ric Serena who crafted this beautiful lighting style with DP Anghel Decca. LED panels around the cast kept movement and color dynamic, while allowing the actors to communicate with the viewer through the lens. A sense of an end of an era, a final goodbye, a journey into the unknown persisted through the whole shoot and creative.

1923 Premiered on Paramount+ in December 2022.
Working on promoting this show was a fantastic adventure - from time lapses in the mountains of Montana, fun nights out in Butte, slow mo shoots and premieres in Hollywood and seeing the art up across the nation.
Oh, and also, I got to direct Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. Not something I ever thought I would get to say in life.
Thanks so much for all the opportunities, Matt Hernandez, Becca Schader and Terry Mingogue. And a thank you to my talented partners in crime Chris Kneller, Stephanie Krueger, Robin Spehar, Matt Ryan, Sarah Coulter, Aurora Albi-Mericer, Steve Chan, Tara Marin, Evan Harris, Kelsey DeWeerd and so many others.

To launch 1923, we wanted to engage the fans of its prequel 1883 and the biggest show on tv - Yellowstone. The team travelled to Montana to shoot this beautiful time-lapse photography of the sun rising over a barn brandished with the famous Y.
We transitioned from the 1883 logo to the 1923 logo over this time-lapse, setting the tone for the show’s marketing and exciting fans across the world. This also transitioned our social handles from 1883 to 1923.

Star Trek: Picard S2 is based in modern day Los Angeles, so we crafted a campaign to bring the cast to the streets of Hollywood.
We took this from shoot to final delivery - it was so fun to direct the incredible cast on set in Santa Clarita on green screen - work with our in-house marketing team to find the right buys and then deliver against it.
This included scoping out our bus shelters in West Hollywood, shooting the backdrops at various times of day, working out focal lengths and perspective lines to really fool the eye that our cast was arriving in LA.

1883, A prequel to Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount Network drama series “Yellowstone,” premiered on Paramount+ in December 2021 to record ratings.
We worked with renowned photographer Sarah Coulter to shoot beautiful ambrotypes - a photographic process on glass of the era the show is based in. On the same shoot, on set in Texas, Evan Harris directed motion vignettes of each character.
Once the ambrotypes were developed we followed with a further shoot in New York, where, using a Phantom camera we shot slow motion shots of the development process, with water, fire, magnesium flashes and light bulbs exploding.
All these assets made their way to our great animator, Matt Ryan who spent many weeks building 4 character pieces and a 30 second and 15 second featuring all four main characters.
Once approved and with audio added, these motion pieces were then resized for motion billboards across America.
Now the winner of two Promax awards. Please enjoy the second video here, behind the scenes and the making-of.

Our great animator, Jason Dubin, built the chain in 3D, animated a camera across the chain, stopping at the names of the talent, before landing on an animated version of the static art, the water hitting the docks, the smoke rising from the stacks in the background.
This was then sized for many motion billboards across America, including Times Square, Dallas airport and SoFi stadium in LA.

Paramount+ has a new original series - The Offer - a scripted show based on the making of The Godfather. We wanted to tell the world about it being now in production, but without any assets we had to create it from scratch. Leaning into the mythology and the look of the show, we created this tease - the script sitting in the dappled sunlight of Don Corleone’s office desk.

Let me start by saying what a small part of the team I was on this! But a team I’m so proud to be a part of. I joined the team in November 2020 when the branding was well underway with agency Loyal Kaspar. Coming from Paramount Network, I had to unlearn everything I knew about mountains and scripted fonts - and with a huge launch and media buy coming, I had no choice but to dive in with the rest of the team!
In the world of television and film, there are few brands with as much legacy as Paramount - we borrowed from that heritage for Paramount+, under the tagline ‘Live Sports, Breaking News and a Mountain of Entertainment’.
From theater marquee signs to movie poster displays, the brand was designed to pay homage to the cinematic history of the studio. Vertical use of the wordmark, for example, is inspired by the vertical signage found outside of movie theaters, while the logo itself resolves on a very graphic interpretation of a sound stage. Finding a balance between the heritage of the Paramount brand and a modern streaming platform was one of the challenges of the project, especially for the iconic Paramount mountain logo. The team rebuilt the peak from ground up, simplifying for a streaming platform, where small sizes are the norm. The script and the CTA button make up the base of the mountain – sturdy, yet flexible enough to anchor different kinds of information.
A custom font was created - Peak Sans - extrapolated from the word mark to a whole typeface. Similarly, the various blues by Paramount employed over time have been unified into one vibrant shade. Even the motion language, like the way the typography animates onscreen, is informed by cinema - it pans, dollies and cranes.
Many, many hours of Zoom calls, late nights and mountain puns later - Paramount+, the brand new streaming product from ViacomCBS launched on March 4, and the new brand was born.

Paramount+, a brand new streaming product, launched on March 4. It takes all the best of ViacomCBS’ content and adds to everything from CBS All-Access. I started a new role with the team back in November. An insane amount of effort and man hours went into creating the brand, optimizing it and iterating for all kinds of media buys.
All the hard work was unveiled over February and March, starting with a huge amount of creative for Super Bowl LV, leading into the launch and beyond. This spot was our brand spot, showing off the breadth of content on to the streaming service.

Emily in Paris, Netflix’s new show from Darren Star (Sex in the City, Younger) was originally slated to air on Paramount Network. The PN design team was enlisted to create a title sequence for the show.
The logo, designed by our in-house team is nestled in the beautiful cinematography of Paris, tracking with the camera movement with Emily passing in-front of or through it as the scene progresses.

I created a fun look for our movies a couple of years ago, borrowing and inspired by the greats of movie title sequences from the past - Saul and Elaine Bass, Maurice Binder, Pablo Ferro. This has rolled out on multiple campaigns, but this summer movie campaign feels like a culmination of all that has come before it! - A labor of love on my part, leading the team from concept to final production. This is the 60 second spot for August, more on other links!

Each NASA and Soviet space mission is a high-stakes project with an ever-present risk of failure. This series pays tribute to the bold men and women who put their lives on the line in order to get a foothold in the heavens...sometimes with spectacularly disastrous results. We also show how the close calls and catastrophes of our past paved the way for the breakthroughs of today.

Paramount Network’s brand has a flat look which works great across the board for all communications. Yet the production endcard, a 3 second logo animation, which plays at the end of all the Paramount Network shows was missing the sheen of some of the production company logos that sit around it. I dusted off my photoshop skills and storyboarded this particular animation to add that sheen and art directed the animation of the amazing Seokin Jang.

Ink Master Season 13 pitched four regions of the US in a turf war. For our launch promo, the team at Paramount Network referenced the language of tattoo stores, with neon signs hanging in the windows.
